Cloud only chuckles. "Yes, half of us are injured. And I'm the part that isn't. I may not be as strong as Gale anymore but perhaps if I find One, him and I could buy you all time to get ready to give him a swift kick to the ass. And I agree, Ayn is probably the only one who could take him head on and have the odds evened out. I'm not going to sit here and not try my luck with him anyway." He stands up and gets himself some whiskey from the bartender of the hotel. He takes a swig and looks at Lara, awaiting any sort of smart answer.

Lara lets out an exasperated sigh. "I suppose recklessness is to be expected with you, Mr. Strife. Well as gung-ho as all of you are, I'm not running off to fight the same battle we just escaped from. Besides, we still have the Angel to deal with."

"And just what do you expect, Ms. Lara? Unless you have a better idea...?" Cloud rubs his eyes and yawns, taking another drink of liquor

"Kousken, actually." Lara pushes her hair back. "All I'm saying is rest for the day. We'd have better chances that way wouldn't we?"

"So would he. But I'm not one to question majority." Cloud pops his neck and takes anotehr drink of whiskey and sits back on the wall next to the wall and closes his eyes. "I just hope my motorcycle isn't blown to hell if he decides to spring up on us first..."

Riki giggles. "The world teeters on the edge of ending, and you are worried about your bike?"

"That's a step up from the rest of his race. Most humans would just spend their last moments feeling each other up, not like they wouldn't anyway."

Hallon raises an eyebrow. "Your current bitterness isn't contributing to our cause, though I do agree we should rest before we continue on."

Keeping his eyes closed, he grins and speaks. "And what would your race worry about if the world were nearing an end and there was nothing you could do about it?" He lights up a cigarette and looks them over. "And just because I look it, don't think I'm human. Or at least all human." He lifts up part of his glove on his right hand and looks at the tatoo with the roman numeral 'I'. "So what are you planning to do after all this crap blows over, Lara? Well, if it blows over."

"Hah, I seem to lack motive to live. I can't imagine what I could possibly care enough about to do, how ironic. I'm fighting to save a world that I don't seem to care about anymore." Lara shoves her hands in the pockets of her vest and lets out an empty laugh before walking away from the group.

Riki stares at Cloud. He was human, and she was not? Glancing around, Riki looks for somebody she could connect to. Lara wasn't easily open to comversation and wasn't a demon anyway; Rikali was a dragon...not good or evil, but what she chooses; Hallon was far from being demonic; and all the rest weren't either. Her gaze falls onto Roselenna. Shuddering, she decides to weather it on her own.

Rikali stretches her wings and curls up more comfortably. "So today we rest, and then tomorrow?"

As Lara leaves she points at Riki and Hayate. "What'd I tell ya?" With a snicker she grabs a key from the nearby table and goes off to her relative room.

Cloud takes notice and does the same, grabbing a key and throwing his cigarette into the fire. "Strange.." He looks everyone in the room over and particularly eyes Hayate and Riki. He then smirks and heads upstairs to his own room, retiring for the night, the thought of his new bike getting damaged still hot on his mind.

Riki stares at Lara, turning bright red. "You swore you wouldn't tell anyone!" Cursing under her breath, she looks at Hayate and half-smiles, still beet red. "No, I'm okay, really. Just trying to deal with the fact that I'm a...a..." she shakes her head, unable to say it. "A creature. An abomination..."

Ayn lazes on a couch nearby; her eyes are closed although she does not sleep. She had sustained no injuries at Capital, although she did feel drained from it. She snorts upon hearing Riki. "We're all creatures on this earth, and none of us are perfect. We're all abominations because we can't live up to our full potential." Ayn shifts her position. "That's why there's evil in the world.. A little kid throws a hissy fit and destroys everything because he found what he wanted then lost it."

Hallon watches Lara leaves and raises an eyebrow. "I don't trust that lass, she might try to harm herself." Hallon yawns quietly, obviously tired. He wasn't as young as he use to be, and fighting like he did against Rose was physically draining.

Cloud see's Rose come in and shrugs. His enormous sword was laying on the bed and he was polishing it, sitting in a chair next to the bed. all his armor was off and his cloak was laying on the ground. His hair wasn't it's usual spikey self. It was flipped over to one side, still long and standing up in a few places. His shirt was on the dresser and he had a towel around his neck. He continues polishing his sword as he interrogates her. "Why are you in here?"[/i]

"Where else should I go? If I bunk with anyone else, I'll end up dead. They don't exactly trust me, you know." She sits on the bed and swings her legs against the board. Thunk-thunk, thunk-thunk. "Where is Reeve?"

Ayn casually knocks on Lara's door, one hand in her pocket. "Lara, you hungry? I'm gonna go get something to eat.." When there's no answer she grips the doorknob and twists, surprisingly, the door was unlocked. She opens the door and gapes. "What the **** are you doing???" Ayn tackles Lara and tries to wrestle the gun out of her hand.

"Hm. Well, he's with a very dear friend for a while. You should see him if we make it out of here. He's with my 'brother' Muro." He tosses her the rag he was using to polish the sword. "Be careful, it's sharp. Don't lay too close." He gets up and takes his short barrel shotgun and checks the double barrels. "Clean the sword for me, will ya?"

Lara snarls, obviously displeased with Ayn's intrusion. "Get the hell of me, Ayn!" Lara eventually drops the gun, either due to Ayn's sheer strength or the fact that she didn't want to accidently harm her.

Used to obeying orders, Rose does as she is told. "Why doesn't he come here? He is always promising in the winds of the dream that I will meet him soon, and yet he never comes. Why does he hide from me?" Frustrated, she rubs hard at the sword and slices her hand. Sucking in a breath, she sucks on the cut and stares at the blade, tears of frustration dripping on to it.

Ayn snatches the gun and in one swift movement unloads it. The bullets clatter to the ground harmlessly. She pins Lara, still not trusting her. "What are you thinking Lara? We need you!"

"Hah, you think I care anymore? Besides, Gale beat me before he killed...Jekin." Lara's eyes begin to water up at the thought. "Just give me my gun and leave me alone!"

He hears something acorss the hall, but dosent bother to move. He looks in his belt thats laying on the ground and takes out a green orb and hold it in his palm. It floats up and goes to Rose's hand and showers it with magic. It then floats back to Cloud's hand and he puts it back into the sack. "I wouldn't know, Rose. Maybe you should ask him when we see him." With that he takes something else from his belt. Medical tape. He bandages her hand and cleans the blood from his sword with the same rag. "Stay out of trouble tommorow, and don't go off and be a fool when we fight."

"No." She takes the gun in her hands, and it glows a bright red before the tip of the barrel melts into a seal. She then stares into Lara's eyes with a cold yet understanding expression. "Listen to me. If you give up now and end your life, then your brother will have died in vain, for no reason at all. Do you want that?"

Lara looks away, obviously not enjoying the confrontation. "...No....but.." Lara chokes, holding back sobs. "...I miss him...."

"Yes, sir. Do you think...I'll see him tonight?" Rose's voice is full of hope. In the long and tedious training with Gale, the dream that she was slowly loosing her mind and soul to was like sweet water to cool her feverish body. She embraced the dream, and in return, it embraced her.

The shouting from the other room draws Fury's attention from the fireplace. With a pained grunt, he lifts himself off the floor. "....Should've put some money on it, Hallon." He moves to the door and peers down the hallway, pondering whether to check it out himself.

"If he lets you in, it's his world. He showed me that he has the power to manifest things from his dreams. Strange..." He lights a cigarette and leans back in his chair. "And don't call me sir."

"I bet he will. He's never kept me out before." Speaking with the undying hope of a child, Rose smiles happily. "In fact, I think I'm going to go to bed now." She grabs a spare blanket and pillow and makes her space up on the floor. Within minutes, Rose is fast asleep.

Cloud stands up and walks into the den where the fire place is bare foot and without a shirt. He begins raiding the bar, holding the bartender at gun point and demanding some expensive wines. After he was satisfied with the 6 bottles of liquor he acquired he went and sat in a big red chair looking into the fire place. "want one Hallon? He holds up a bottle.
